
Born and raised in Charleston, SC, Min. Edward J. Young was educated in the county's Catholic schools and graduated from Bishop England High School in 1998. Min. Young has earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing in 2002 from Winthrop University and a Master of Education in Higher Education and Student Affairs in 2005 from the University of South Carolina-Columbia. Eddie is currently the Career Development Facilitator at Fort Mill High School after working for 13 years in Higher Education and Student Affairs.
Min. Eddie and his wife Min. Adrienne Young has two wonderful boys, Emmanuel and Elisha. Min. Young is a licensed Minister and ordained Deacon, and has served previous ministries as Youth Ministry Director, Youth Church Coordinator, High School Bible Study Teacher and Youth Supervisor. In the community, Eddie is a member of the Sigma Tau Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, Middle School Football Coach, and founder of the Fort Mill Saints 7v7 organization, and was the Community Outreach Chairperson for MLK Dream Weekend (Greenville, SC).
Min. Young enjoys reading, but God's Holy Word provides the greatest direction. His favorite scripture is Galatians 2:20 - I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
